Want a way to end a vacation?

Don't come home to a missing dog, who turns up dead the next day or a cat who is having breathing issues and is put down the following day after the dog is buried!

Six was the cat that I had the longest.  Only twenty days shy of eleven years!  She was a double poly dactyl, who showed up literally the day that we came home from our honeymoon.  We think she was probably thirteen or fourteen and had many good years with us.  The sweetest, most calm cat, who brought me many years of happiness.  I miss her.

Pokey dog was a Jack Russell terrier who only barked at raccoons and groundhogs.  Quite the farm dog!  Grant misses him something awful.  He turned out to be a great little dog who was a wonderful garbage disposal and loved to chase anything that was round, including, but not limited to, tires, golf balls, basketballs, beach balls, and nerf balls.  Strange that it all happened so fast and all at once, but at least they aren't suffering anymore.  They are both buried side-by-side.  Sad week for all of us.  Learning experiences for the kids.
